My youngest son turns 3 at the end of this week! I thought this would be a perfect time to share his past birthday parties. Starting with the baby shower, of course! As the title says, I chose a fancy brunch theme for my baby shower. I didn't have a shower with my older son, so I really felt the need to go all out with this one. I am pretty particular when it comes to decorations and party planning, so naturally, I decided I just needed to do it all myself. This was really the first event where I remember trying to get pictures of all the details - with the clear intention of putting them on a blog. I'm so happy that that is finally happening!

Now let's get on to the party!

As far as brunch goes, I was sure to include all the staples - mini quiche, muffins, a DIY yogurt parfait station, and of course, mimosas! And because I truly believe a party isn't complete without cake, there was also birthday cake popcorn (more on that coming soon!).

My mimosa was made with sparkling water, in case you were wondering. Everyone else, however, had the choice of champagne or sparkling water, and multiple different juice choices. I know for sure we had orange, pineapple, and grapefruit juices, just to name a few. Complete with fancy plastic champagne flutes from Hobby Lobby!

To continue with the mimosa theme, I handed out an adorable canned mimosa to all my guests for them to pop open when I finally "popped".

The included poem reads, "Thank you for coming to our shower. Here is something for your next happy hour. Sarah is about to "pop" and now so will you, when you hear that Warren has made his debut. Raise your can high and give a toast in his name to celebrate the day that he finally came." Corny and over the top, yes, I know. But just handing out canned mimosas with no explanation didn't seem right at the time!

We skipped the traditional baby shower games and opted for a simple calendar to let people guess when he'd be born.

And that was about it! All put together I was very happy with how "fancy" I thought it turned out. But each piece individually was rather simple. The quiche (not pictured), I found frozen at my local Walmart. The mini muffins are pre-packaged Little Bites brand. The hardest part was the flavored popcorn, and believe me, it's pretty simple. I make it for almost every event now! Stay tuned and I will get a tutorial up for it!

It just goes to show you that a good theme is all you need to make a party stand out!

Please feel free to pin this for future reference!
